The Spring Valley Property Owners & Recreational Corporation recently passed a rule that members, which are homeowners of record, must be present when any of our friends and family are using any common property, including fishing and boating on the lakes. This ALSO means that even full-time residents in Spring Valley have to accompany any spouses, children, or other family members who are living in the SAME household but are not listed as an owner on your home/property's title. But do we think this will be equally enforced? 

This change removes THE ONLY TOOL to enforce covenants and to sanction problem properties, while simultaneously eliminating a valuable aspect of why many of us responsible & caring property owners chose to purchase homes and land in Spring Valley. 

Since you didn't get to actually vote on this, your only option may be to vote with your $. 

 Section III A of Policy 310 on page 2 clearly states that "Payment of the annual Membership Assessment is voluntary. " You can find this on http://www.myspringvalley.org/declarations---policies.html .
